Information for placing authorities

COMMISSIONING

We gain referrals from local authorities and are part of the Peninsula Commissioning  and Procurement Partnership process, which sets and maintains high standards in the quality of placement providers in our area.

ADMISSIONS

Students are accepted for a place at t+centres provided their needs can be met within the provision. Students come with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) which outlines their particular needs with stated requirements as to how these needs will be met.

Students usually are described as having Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties, either as a stand-alone diagnosis or together with other conditions such as Autism Spectrum conditions, Aspergers Syndrome, Attention Deficit Disorder and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADD/ADHD) and Attachment Disorders.

The list is not exhaustive and judgements about the suitability of t+centres provision will be made on individual merit. We do not have the facilities or expertise at the present time for students with severe mental health issues or Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) but we will try to accommodate students with other difficulties not mentioned above if we feel their needs can be effectively met.
